Significantly Insignificant

Rippled sand

Blown into patterns

By a mighty hand

One grain wonders if it matters

All it’s life rolled here and there

Rubbing and chipping

Crushed by waves that do not care

Dizzy with the swirling

Next thrown upon the shore

Now dry, lifted by the wind

Wondering what’s in store

Amid this daily grind?

Little does it know

It has a place in a masterpiece

Tiny hills and valleys all in a row

It’s just a little piece

But when it lands

Or is lifted by a gust

Is guided by His hands

And teaches me to trust

  1. Love this! No crazy day or dull day is without purpose; all work to increase our being conformed to the image and likeness of Jesus!
